Marcin Jakubowski is a farmer (with a useless PhD in fusion energy). When he realized that appropriate, low cost tools to start a sustainable farm did not exist, he set out to build his own, and to make those blueprints available to everyone via a wiki. Soon, contributors from around the world joined in his endeavor to create schematics, 3-D designs and instructional videos for the 50 most important machines for modern civilization - the Global Village Construction Set.
