Even today, land ownership in Namibia illustrates the inequality between the black and white populations. Land ownership and use in a collective, cultural, cooperation is unheard of still. The Ahlenstorfs from Germany decided to transform a traditional 8,500 hectare farm utilizing biodynamic agricultural principles, with the people who already worked on the land. They implemented a closed operating system where crops and animals outputs are produced internally through natural fertilization and composting materials; hence creating a deep and balanced relationships between the earth, plants and animals. The result is a holistic eco-system that generates health and education for its community of cultivators and sustainable food production for the farming center.
