At age 13, Shelby Grebenc is a seasoned farmer - the youngest to receive an Animal Welfare Seal of Approval for the 135 chickens she raises. She began her business at age 9, with a loan from her grandmother, to help her family stave off homelessness when her mother became bedridden with multiple sclerosis. Although she wasn't told how close to bankruptcy the family was due to her mother's nursing home bills, Shelby saw that her father was sad and decided she needed to help.
