Miles Scott has been a hero since he was 18 months old after a diagnosis of leukemia. Thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the City of San Francisco called on Miles for duty to be a superhero for the day! Alongside Gotham City’s crime fighter, Batman, crowds cheered as “Batkid” rescued a damsel in distress and the San Francisco Giants’ mascot, Lou Seal, from their arch nemesis, the Joker. Although visibly tired from the effects of his chemotherapy treatment, Batkid bravely fought on to capture the Joker, and receive the keys to San Francisco City as a reward. His diligence earned Miles a congratulations from President Obama.
