In the wake of the 9.0 earthquake and massive tsunamis and nuclear disaster that rocked the island of Japan in March, 2011, an advertising agency, TBWA/Hakuhodo, embarked on a project to design an entirely new way of living - one that is not reliant on external energy sources and infrastructure. This video shows the result of this endeavor, which brings together new technologies from over 20 companies, including Nissan, NEC and the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency, for the "Aerohouse" - an off-grid house in which technology and nature co-exist.
