Asylum-seekers hoping for refugee status are often held in detention centers for long periods of time. Feinstein has been running a children's music program for over a year with donated instruments, and has started an adult program as well. No matter where the detainees come from, they all find an outlet in music. And through the volunteers, a vital connection to the outside world.
