The 'justice system' and incarceration creates a hopeless cycle which traps individuals, their families and whole communities. Essentially, it takes away a person's ability to control their own life and leaves them in a hostile, pressure-cooker environment. This film demonstrates the restorative services provided by a network of organisations working at a grassroots level with people reentering society. The holistic principles of permaculture are fundamental in reconnecting people with the land and their innate ability to sustain life and provide for their communities.

This work beautifully illustrates resiliency as the ability to survive AND thrive. The criminal justice system only focuses on survival which leaves individuals trapped in a mindset that is harmful to themselves and their communities. I'm inspired!

I think it's wonderful that people are given a chance to rebuild their lives. It's a blessing to them and to those they serve. Thank you for doing this for those who need it most. May God bless this group and their endeavors
