This video clip tells the story of the Dongria Kondh, who had to fight for their right to live in peace on their ancestral mountain, Niyamgiri. The multi-billion dollar mining company, Vendanta, threatened their livelihood and their future for a grueling 10 years. Living within the traditions of their forebearers, the Dongria Kondh are generally isolated from modern societies but it was the connection to people in the wider world community which enabled them to finally win their battle against ignorance, greed and destruction.
