Eman Mohammad is the first female photojournalist to work in her homeland, the infamous Gaza Strip. Being a female photographer has resulted in some harrowing experiences for her and her family but being a woman has also given her a unique and unparalleled perspective on the war. This brief TED talk is complemented with Eman’s captivating work which illustrates the whole spectrum of life with war.

    Very inspirations and brilliant photography. I've always enjoyed taking pictures of whatever beauty I see on my travels, but to find beauty in a war zone when you are told you should not be taking photos at all is really something. Hopefully many people can learn from this woman's struggle and achievements. And hopefully one day her city will be free from suffering and inequality.
