Every baby deserves a strong start in life. But for many mothers in developing countries, even access to basic infant supplies, such as blankets and baby caps, is difficult due to scarcity or financial costs. Enter the Westwood Elementary students. The Westwood Warm Up America! knitting club gathers early in the morning before school starts to knit caps for infants and premature babies. As the young students learn a valuable skill in knitting and patience, their spirit of giving is spread to society’s tiniest, most vulnerable members where it is needed the most.
