It's not often you hear of doctors making regular house calls, but Dr. Fred Richardson has been tending to his most vulnerable, elderly patients in their homes for 25 years. Having grown up in one of Chicago's toughest neighborhoods, he knew about the community dangers many of his patients were facing. Why don't more doctors make house calls? It's not efficient, Richardson says. It sure does make a difference to the patients he cares for, though.
