Born in Arizona, but raised in Ojai, California, Walter Fuller has always had an affinity for the environment. Now in his 60s, Fuller spends his days working to clean up Ormond Beach. After first seeing the industrialized and crime-ridden beach in 1996, Fuller kept coming back. He watched the clientele and birds change over the years before partnering with the City of Oxnard and becoming the “Steward of Ormond Beach,” but he’s always focused on bettering the beach’s environment.
