A film by HooplaHa.

Lori and Shira are not your typical dog lovers. This mother-daughter team helps pets and their owners, who are often  homeless, throughout Riverside County, California. Every day, Lori and Shira ride into a different part of town, taking supplies and services to people’s pets in need: leashes, harnesses, collars, hygiene products and the like. “We clean them, take them in to get spayed and neutered, vaccinate them, flea and tick prevent them, microchip them, trim their nails, and on top of everything else we get them licensed” - in other words, a truly full-service doggie salon and doctor at your disposal. And don’t forget about the felines.  They also bring food and treats for cats, “because some people have cats, too”. Their nonprofit organization is aptly named: Taking it To the Streets With Lori and Shira”. Thanks to them, those who are unable to provide for their pets get a little help when they need it most.
