Have you ever been people-watching and wondered: "What's their story?" Brandon Doman wondered just that one day and opened up a notebook to ask passers-by to share. And "The Strangers Project" was born. The project is designed to focus people in the present; to elicit journal entries that come to them at that moment. Some see it as entertainment, but others write deeply personal and intimate stories that they have never shared before. Since the project began in 2009, Doman has collected over 25,000 anonymous, handwritten stories shared by strangers across New York.
