Yassmin Abdel-Magied is a mechanical engineer, writer, and activist who is breaking the stereotypes that go along with wearing a hijab. She designed her own race car, ran her university’s race team, and was a boxer at one point. She talks about how we need to address the unconscious biases people have when it comes to religion, gender, and other minority groups. Instead of judging people based on the biases that exist in all of us, she addresses how we can go about breaking down the biases that exist and how to create a world that thinks beyond the stereotypes and embraces diversity.
