Sofia and Yayo have traveled through South and Central America teaching children about the stars and the world around them. They aim to find the interconnectedness in all people, all communities, but also to help preserve the heritage and uniqueness of each community they come across. They say the earth divides us, but the sky unites us. Traveling across dozens of countries, teaching children about themselves, teaching them about science, and applying it to them where they live means that these children will remember these lessons throughout their lives. It is touching to know that there are people in these communities working hard to preserve their culture and history, and that there are people like Yayo and Sofia, taking it upon themselves to unite people across the world.
