Team Sempiternal is proving that even 9th graders can make a huge impact on their community. San Diego, California, like many cities around the world, is in danger of losing its artists due to rising living expenses. These 54 teens helped build "tiny homes" that served as both homes and studios for 14 artists to help keep art alive in San Diego. The students teamed up with Space 4 Art, a nonprofit that gives artists in San Diego an affordable place to live, work, and interact with each other.
