Most barbers and hairdressers are de facto psychologists who practice deep listening with their clients while cutting their hair. Tennessee barber Fidell Woods has taken that one step further by becoming a role model to the young boys at Brewster Elementary School in Cordova. Every Wednesday for 5 years, Woods has cut hair for around ten boys, provided they've done their homework. He's watched many of them grow up, and become an important figure in their lives. Woods' mentoring program, Man Up, now includes the students' fathers, who come to school to hear Woods talk about setting positive examples for their children.
