Over 20% of students in America today have been bullied, according to the National Bullying Prevention Center. More than half of these incidents are stopped when another students steps in to help. But wouldn't it be better to encourage more positive interactions instead of focusing on ending negative ones? In 2012 Jillian Carney learned about the We Stop Hate Club, founded by Emily-Anne Rigal. Carney brought the program to her West Virginia school, then decided to spread the word by selling Compliment Grams at lunch. The kids loved it.
