A film by Mona Caron.

Today's world is ruled by technology, but you can't eat your iPad. In Ecuador a group of nine women are depicted here in a mural honoring their work to preserve food heritage. When modified seeds are planted they pollute genomes of native species and can replace wild strains. These new super crops overpower existing ones. Additionally new laws can prohibit farmers from sharing their seeds with others. Crops, like communities, are interdependent on one another. As Rosa Andrango says, "One seed helps the other seed and together they help the earth." And the earth gives life to all of us.
