As I've begun my life again from scratch this year - at 60 - I am happier and more committed to the GREAT deeply meaningful work coming towards me now. It took a while to let go of the past and find the courage and trust to leap - LIVE from the HEART! Listen to your intuition! And don't EVER settle! Thank you Steve!

Don't say, "you are too old,". Let me do what thrills and excites me.

  • Rehana Webster

I am inspired and energized every time I listen to this speech! Thank you Steve for sharing such valuable lessons.

What inspired me was the simplicity of Steve's speech. A man of humble beginnings, adopted by uneducated parents who promised his birth mother that Steve would go to college. But his real education, valuable lessons learned, actually occurred outside the "official" classroom, by dropping in on classes he loved and learned from. He seemed to be very humble though brilliant, and kind; not spoiled by his tremendous monetary success. Very inspiring!

I am a high school secretary. Some days I wonder what I am doing there? This video reminds me that I love what I do even though it is hard some days. I never planned to do this job, it just kind of fell to me. (karma) I feel blessed everyday and love being with the kids and watching them soar. Steve Jobs reminded me of this.

Yes the video is certainly inspiring but what troubles me is that the many brilliant minds who are devising these cell phones and laptops (that I can find) are NOT doing anything about diffusing the electro-magnetic energy in them. Everywhere people, kids and even babies have cell phones to their undeveloped brains and laptops on their laps. Where will the cheering go when brain tumors and infertility start to show up in our precious young children?? Who is working to make toxic-free cell phones? Or when will they come with the dangers listed on them? That is someone I will celebrate! (No, I don't have a cellphone....life is very fulfilling without one!)

previously , i was being hungry and pretending to be wise. but i was a fool. Now i got it -it's wise to be foolish.....

What inspired me in this message is the simplicity of the message. Some 45 years ago,I met 3 disciples of the famous early 20th century French philosopher, cardiologist & philantropist Dr Roger Godel whose message was that you can only succeed in life if you undertake what you really love & that life is a journey of illimited knowledge if you have an open mind. I think that was the great message of this giant at the dawn of the 21rst century. J.O.B

Follow your heart, always listen to your inner voice & just keep staying hungry as well as foolish because you never know what you'll be learning along the way, but as Steve Jobs put it, you'll eventually connect the dots in the future when you somehow look backwards! This is a really inspiring speech!!!

Steve Jobs reminds the Standford students that the worlwide company he created started in a little workshop with a man who had a genuine interest in computers an typography. He who was not running after success, recognition and glamour.Find your genuine interest first, says he, and you will be blessed in return by a happy and successful life. A life lesson and a gift given by a man who knew he might soon pass away to promising young people, so they may fully realize their creative potential.

Thank you very much for most beautiful and stimulating words from a great person. This will really be helpful for the people to navigate their lives when in doubts and difficult situations.

His life speaks to the providence of God and the desire that He places in each human heart for the good purpose He has destined for their lives. The scarey thing is that this brilliant man, the son of an unmarried mother, could easily have been aborted and many I am sure would have seen this as a solution. His life also speaks to the wonderful encouraging adoptive parents that he was provided with. Again speaking to the hand of God on this man's life. God gave Jesus Christ so that Steve could fulfill God's ultimate plan and it would have to do with computers in heaven beyond his wildest dreams I am sure. What a legacy this man has left us all.

  • Janice

Trusting in his intuition and curiosity as a guiding light . . . letting being in love lead the way . . . is the reason my life has become a creative contribution to life. The Apple world he created is a major tool I use to follow my own curiosity and intuition and express my love in creative ways for the good of humanity and all that is.

Steve was one of a kind. He always stayed true to his beliefs and his passion. You can't think of an Apple product and not think of Steve Jobs.

What else to say after what over 50 million 'closed' society Chinese have already told the world on Steve! Just follow what the guru said on achieving one's goals in life. Best wishes to you.

  • P.P.Singh

In case we are able to KEEP THESE WORDS In MIND even for 50% of our lives, our lives would be richer by several degrees.

  • paul omozuapo

...Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

  • irene

The legacy Steve leaves behind is more that just Apple, it is the inspiration, to follow your heart, and inspire others in the process.

  • GregoryAnn

I watched Steve's address before work, what inspiring words he shared in 2005. We should all take his words to heart as he quoted "stay hungry - stay foolish". What a better world we have because of him, if we try to live close to his vision it will continue to be a great world, community and prove that each of us can have a great family and life. Thanks for sharing his story.
