In the spirit of Martin Luther King, Jr., Dr. A.T. Ariyaratne has led peace marches and meditations with millions of poor people. In the mold of Mahatma Gandhi, he has quieted angry masses through his personal example. Like Jimmy Carter, he has successfully mediated intense conflicts and helped build hundreds of homes. Like the Dalai Lama and the world's greatest spiritual leaders, he has the impressive ability to rally ordinary citizens to see the wisdom of looking beyond their own needs to serve others. In rare video gathered just last week at a meditation stop along his current U.S. tour, KarmaTube invites you to experience an extraordinary man.

Great video of this sweet and wise man, Dr. Ariyaratne. It is also the first time I see Mr. Nipun Mehta speaking. This website is really a wonderful resource for good human examples, and I thank and admire those who collect these stories and make them available to many people. However, one thing must be kept in mind regarding this particular video and the title with which it is presented. There was a fundamental flaw in the philosophy presented by Gandhiji and in his life example, even though in India and in the world, due to the very popular leader image he achieved, very few dare to mention that defect, or to reflect on its necessary rectification. Even though the spiritual values of ahimsa and compassion are irrefutable, the errors in the interpretation given by Gandhiji and the historical mistakes he committed should be very carefully understood, with a calm mind, as the gentleman in this video suggests.
