During the innocence of childhood, many of us learn a religious tradition that reveals to us the seeds of early faith. For many of us too, as we grow up and see the ways that religion is often corrupted, there is a necessary walking away from what we first learned so that we can later discover again the pureness of faith within that includes all faiths. In “Dear God,” the singer shows us his own journey of faith from early rituals to abandonment of the tainted perversions of religion to a mature and non-dual expression of Divine Union showing the light within all people and faiths.
