The St. Luke’s B Kind club was created in memory of Phil Mahoney. “I just want to carry on my dad’s legacy, because he really was the kindest man I have ever known,” says Virginia. Her family founded the B Kind Foundation, and she is co-president and founder of the St. Luke’s B Kind Club. There are fifteen different B Kind clubs springing up around the country at present. The mission of the B Kind Foundation is to spread kindness around the community of every club. Kindness doesn’t cost anything and is something anyone can do. With the B Kind Foundation, Virginia spreads the message of kindness exemplified by her father’s life, and in so doing, his legacy lives on.
