Through her innovative sheet metal paintings, the extraordinary artist Pat Benincasa tells the stories of thirteen remarkable women and groups of women who shattered cultural roadblocks and gender restrictions to create a "mobility of possibilities that resulted in women's suffrage and opened doors to work opportunities beyond color and economic barriers." These women greatly influenced the automotive industry, including the invention of brake lights and windshield wipers, and opening automotive design, auto mechanics and race care driving up to women. Now, thanks to Pat Benincasa and this film, their contributions are known and celebrated.
