On a regular basis, I am asked by my students what does it matter if I am working for justice here in my little sphere of influence (my classroom, my family or friendship circle, my workplace). Social injustice is so pervasive, structural, and seemingly endless. What I found so inspiring about this piece is how it captures the collective effect when individual people work towards a common goal - even when that work is seemingly done in isolation.
